weight loss have you given up
every day I get several emails from people who have given up on losing weight. and they don't know what to do. They have "tried everything" and they believe that it is impossible for them to lose weight. Many of them lost weight and gained it all back, and more. Some of them have tried losing weight all their lives and never succeeded.
A lady wrote to me last spring, "I've been trying to lose about 60 pounds for over 10 years. I've quit! I'm resolved that I'll be fat for the rest of my life" but I'm glad you to say that this lady, with a little guidance, is sixty-five pounds lighter than she was a year ago... and she has some muscle tone. Needless to say, she no longer believes she will be fat for the rest of her life.
I'm telling you this just to illustrate that you don't have to give up weight loss. YOU can lose weight, but you have to be prepared to do what it takes...and here's what it takes! If we look at people who have successfully lost weight
- * and * to maintain this loss, a couple of things are very obvious. These two factors are present in the lives of most of them. it takes...and here's what it takes! They are doing some form of exercise
1. They do some form of aerobic exercise 7 days a week. These people do not exercise wimps! They know what factor it takes for their weight loss/maintenance and they go out and do itThey work an average of forty-five minutes a day with a range of 30 to ninety minutes a day. Not only does this burn a lot of calories but, perhaps more vitally, it elevates their basal metabolic rate.
on basal metabolic rate
- 2. They do a positive kind of strength training two to three days a week. This has a tremendous effect on basal metabolic rate and muscle tone. Success in maintaining a weight loss is much higher in people who are strength trained while losing weight compared to those who did not. Now, obviously, healthy eating habits are also very important.
However, most of these people say that their exercise habits seem to dictate their eating habits...meaning if they can be consistent with exercise, their eating habits seem to fall into place. Many consumers have told me that their daily exercise puts them in a "healthy" state of mind.
When they exercise regularly, their eating habits are better. I believe a major factor in most people's frustration with losing weight is that they haven't been told the truth about exercise. You see, twenty minutes, three days a week will not be enough to lose weight. If you're serious about losing weight, then you must be serious about exercise. -It's about changing your basic feelings through exercise. -It is about considering the Daily, just like brushing your teeth. -This is to consider the "If you seek * vigorously
